FIGlet font Banner font
A seven-row font filled with a single #. Because it uses one keyboard symbol, it keeps its shape in almost any font or program.
# # # # ###### # # #### # # # # # # # ####### ##### # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # ###### ###### ###### ####
Copies the text as is. In Notepad, choose a monospaced font such as Consolas and turn off word wrap.

About the Banner font
Ryan Youck made Banner in 1994 by turning the letters printed by the Unix banner program into a FIGlet font. Every stroke is filled with #, so it looks as bold and clear as the old printed banners. Vinney Thai added Katakana, and the Cyrillic letters come from the koi8x8 font.
It is seven rows tall, and “HELLO” takes 39 columns. It uses only one keyboard symbol, so it stays intact in Notepad, email, or a terminal. When you need a large, heavy title, it looks even stronger than Big.
Works well for
Large titles at the top of announcements, terminal welcome screens, and printed banners.

Frequently asked questions
How tall is the Banner font?
Banners in Banner are 7 lines tall. “HELLO” comes out 39 columns wide, and each letter takes about 7.8 columns on average. For phone chats, compare it with narrow fonts such as Small or Mini.
Does Banner support Korean?
FIGlet fonts have no Korean letters, so Banner cannot draw Hangul. Use the Korean ASCII art tool for Korean text.
Where does a Banner banner stay aligned?
Anywhere that shows text in a monospaced font. On Discord, Telegram, and GitHub, wrap it in a ``` code block (choose “Discord · Telegram” under “Paste into” to copy it that way); in chat apps with proportional fonts, choose “Image” to send a picture.
Can I use Banner banners commercially?
Banner ships with the official FIGlet distribution under the BSD-3-Clause license. Rights to the words in your banner, such as company names or trademarks, still need to be checked separately.
