ABOUT

About the Lean font

Glenn Chappell made Lean in 1993, drawing on several text signatures used in email at the time. Its strokes are stacked from slanted _/ pieces, so the letters look like solid shapes leaning to the right. Block is the upright version of this font.

It is only five rows tall, but “HELLO” takes 51 columns, the widest of the 12. It suits titles on wide screens and announcements read on a computer; for phones, send it as an image.
