About the Small Slant font
Glenn Chappell made Small Slant in 1993 by combining Small and Slant. Its original name was SmSlant. It leans to the right like Slant but is only four lines tall.
“HELLO” takes 27 columns, shorter than Slant, so it is the italic choice when space is tight. It fits READMEs viewed on phones and chat messages.
